Hidan and Kakuzu represent the Philosophy of Pleasure, exactly what pleasure is, what you have to do to have genuine pleasure.

Hidan thought that the pleasure came from the spiritual, the belief in a God that he would send him down the right path and that the pleasure transferred it to his body, when he killed people through his Jutsu.

Kakuzu thought otherwise, he did not see the pleasure in the spiritual but in the Material, that is why he was obsessed with Money and made fun of what was not associated with the economic, as he always did with Hidan's rituals.
